Week of September 15, 2012
This is your child's second week of school. I am looking forward to another productive week of school. The following is our class agenda for this week of school....
Math-students will use analog clocks to tell time.
Phonics-Students will learn about the short A vowel sound.
Spelling words will contain the short a vowel sound. The spelling words for this week are as follows....
- cat
- mat
- sat
- rat
- pat
- fat
- bat
- van
- tan
- apple
- another
- apron
- acorn
Grammar- students will write periods at the end of sentences.
Science- students will discuss the parts of a plant then they will plant popcorn seeds.
Social studies- students will discuss the needs and wants of human beings.
Last week our class developed rules and consequences. Our class rules are as follows:
- Respect Others
- Keep Hands and Feet to yourself
- Follow Directions
- Listen to my teacher
Consequences for breaking rules are as follows:
- 1st warning
- 10 minute time out from free play
- 20 minute time out from free play
- call to parent, team meeting
This week's student of the week is Milun Aberdeen.
